Excursion to Floating Market of Damnoen Saduak and Bangkok City Guided Tour
This fantastic tour takes you to two of Bangkok's most impressive and unmissale attractions - the fantastic floating markets of Mamnoen Saduak and the Grand Palace. You'll also get to ride along Bangkok's famous Klongs on a traditional long-tailed speedboat and have a delicious lunch.
Bangkok Floating Market Tour at Damnoen Saduak
Experience the way Bangkok used to be before the skyscrapers and cars at the floating markets of Damnoen Saduak approximately 100km outside of the city with its extraordinary range of colours, smells, noises and flavours.
We'll travel to the floating markets of Damnoen Saduak on a narrow long-tail speedboat along Bangkok's rivers and canals as we pass by traditional riverside villages and fruit plantations. Be sure to have your camera handy as we drive past these traditional stilted houses.
As we approach Damnoen Saduak - Bangkok's biggest and arguably best outdoor market on our boat the canals will get busier and busier as we join the hundreds of other boats that have come here to buy and sell goods.
The locals produce and market goods from fresh fruit and vegetables to tourist memorabilia here which they sell on there small flat-bottom boats, expect lots of chatter and haggling! You can also expect lots of delicious food, including mango sticky rice, dumplings, noodles, coconut pancakes and more. The floating market also sells finely produced local art and crafts.
The market itself is a fabulous site that has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. After spending the morning at Bangkok's best floating market we'll travel back to the City for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
Bangkok City Tour - The Grand Palace
After a morning exploring the floating markets of Bangkok and then a delicious lunch, we'll travel to Bangkok's "must see" temple, the Grand Palace with it's famous Emerald Buddha statue.
Located along the banks of the Chao Phraya river (The River of Kings), the Grand Palace is a perfect example of an ancient Siamese court. It's often said that no visit to Bangkok is complete without visiting the Grand Palace, the encapsulation of beautiful Thai architecture and the spiritual home of Thailand.
Built in 1782, this spectacular palace was the home of Thai kings for 150 years and also the war ministry, and home to the government.
Inside the palace you'll find numerous smaller temples, the most famous being Wat Pra Kaew (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha), believed to have supernatural powers. Every season the robes of the Emerald Buddha are changed by the King of Thailand in an important ritual.
This is a fantastic tour for anyone visiting Bangkok and a brilliant way to see a the cities most popular attractions in one day.

Combination of Floating Market and City Tour
The Floating markets of Bangkok we're what we really wanted to see, but whilst we were in Bangkok we thought we shouldn't really miss out on a guided tour of Bangkok City as there may be some stuff we would miss if we didn't.
Not really big on tours in the past but this really turned out to be a good decision, Bangkok is quite big and being shown round by someone who really knows their stuff and can relay that in an interesting and fun way made exploring Bangkok so much better. We found out alot of stuff we wouldn't have if we went round ourselves, and wouldn't have seen half as much as we did.
Bangkok Excursions have changed my mind on doing these tours, it was a great way to see the City and we had an amazing day. Guide wasn't pushy and let us dictate what we wanted to do and when we wanted to do it, he's knowledge of Bangkok just made it that much smoother and meant we saw so much.

We went to floating market with Bangkok Excursions and it was everything we were expecting and more!
The floating market itself is beautiful, and a overdose of smells and sights and sounds. Nothing like the sorts of markets I've seen anywhere else in the world which just sell the same tat.
Everyone we dealt with at Bangkok Excursions was very friendly and professional and our guide especially was superb.
